Idaho SEARCH Program taking applications for 2010-2011
Earn While You Learn! The Idaho SEARCH Program is taking applications from health professions students and residents for participation in a National Health Service Corps program that provides quality clinical training opportunities for students and residents in primary care settings. 4-6 week rotations provide rich experiences in community health in rural communities throughout Idaho. Stipends of up to $1,500 are available to help with living and travel expenses. Train in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environments while earning academic credits and $$$. IPCA Job Opening: Idaho SEARCH (Student/Resident Experiences and Rotations in Community Health) Program Specialist
The Idaho Primary Care Association is looking for a qualified candidate to provide professional-level project support and coordination under the direction of the Idaho SEARCH Program Director to start as soon as possible. This is a half-time (20 hours/week), exempt position offering benefits equivalent to fulltime employees. Starting salary for this position is $15,000 annually. Ideal candidates will have some knowledge of healthcare training programs, computer proficiency and excellent communication and organizational skills. NHSC is now taking Student Loan Repayment applications for Part Time Providers!
Primary care medical, dental and behavioral and mental health clinicians working half-time at an approved National Health Service Corps site can receive $50,000 toward repayment of their health professions student loans for 4 years of service and can apply for additional support for extended service.
NHSC will soon offer loan repayment for qualifying part-time providers!
In March 2010, clinicians working part-time at NHSC-approved facilities will be eligible to apply for Part-time Loan Repayment.
• Four year service commitment for $50,000
• Potential for additional years of support - 2 year service contract
• Application Period open for 30 days
• 400 awards Anticipated
• Same eligible disciplines as full-time Loan Repayment Program
